“As you create a home, don't get distracted with a lot of things that have no meaning for you or your family. Don't dwell on your failures, but think of your successes. Have joy in your home. Have joy in your children. Have joy in your husband. Be grateful for the journey.” ~ Marjorie Pay Hinckley

Blast from the PAST! Some things NEVER change...

(Tally, Lynda, Ruthie & ol' she devil what's her name??? Oh yeah, Ann Marie - Know you soooo wanna laugh at that Ruthie!)
I've been going thru old pictures lately...
Seeing some of my "old" group (ha, ha), from our YSA days.
Oh the trouble we got into....!

The picture of the 3 guys in a bed....it's a CLASSIC.
Next photo - taken at Applebee's in Lake Oswego BEFORE a YSA dance....BJ, Me, Ruth & Nikki.

The one below - the YSA Raft Trip on the Deschutes. Total turning point in my relationship with Stann. :) Benefits of having my own personal lifeguard on the boat. Aziz, didja think we were gonna float away on shore??? Just kiddin'. That's a picture of Aziz, Ruthie, Stann and I. It was August ya'll....and barely 70 degrees! I get goose bumps just thinkin' about it! :)

Well, imagine my surprise, when at my last follow-up ortho appointment with Tod, and I run into none other than Aziz! :)
This prompted a search on Facebook - I've been able to find soooo many old friends! :)
And we finally got part of our old group together, last night (Saturday). We may've gotten almost ALL together, except Darcy had her baby early! Waaaay early. (At 27 weeks early, so Ruthie went up to see her. I'm goin' soon too, but we'd planned the party and Darcy assured me she was okay. :) Joseph was 3 lbs and 15 inches. YIKES. So, Ruthie and Darcy couldn't attend. :( We missed them too! )
We had a BLAST! We were finally able to meet Aziz's beautiful wife, Lauren. You did good Aziz! Stann BBQ'd the meat, we had a potluck, food was yummy! Our kids all played (those that came) and we were able to catch up with each others lives. It did us good to remember why we'd all been friends in the first place! We'll be doing something like this again.... and I can't wait! :) I love seeing all our ol' friends! :) I'm thinkin' in December....!
But as you can see, we've all changed a bit....(see pics above...)

Lynda & Wes, with their niece Sam and a baby on the way for them.....Me and Stann....I'm holding Mischief and Mayhem is actually in front of me, but behind Robert.....BJ and Michelle and Billy....Ann and Elizabeth took the photo....THANK YOU Annie!

But you know what cracked me up most of all? This photo.....
Cuz some things just NEVER change. The photo captures the guys' personalities soooo well.

I don't think it was Grandma Fran's fault for our craziness. Come on... 3 boys were make anyone crazy.. it was our dad's that were crazy... ha ha!!!
