“As you create a home, don't get distracted with a lot of things that have no meaning for you or your family. Don't dwell on your failures, but think of your successes. Have joy in your home. Have joy in your children. Have joy in your husband. Be grateful for the journey.” ~ Marjorie Pay Hinckley

Has this happened to anyone else??

Bless their creative little hearts.

Matt and Josh decided to "HELP" me with the laundry today.

FYI...they still need quite a bit more guidance before I can turn them loose on this particular chore.

They decided to wash their diapers. (Luckily, they weren't dirty!) But unfortunately, as you can see in the "after" picture....we use disposable diapers....(see above), not cloth.

My best guess, as I really can't follow the functioning mind of a 2 and 1 year old.....They're always seeing me put clothes in the washer, and well, (bless them for trying!) they decided to pitch in.

(I've been trying to see the humor in this. Normally this would've tested my patience, but I believe my exercise routines are FINALLY starting to kick in where the happy pills have worn off thru the day....! So only ONE SCREAM of frustration was emitted as I opened the washer.)

So, mid-load, they opened the washer up....and put 'em in. FYI...we now have a "laundry closet" located upstairs, next to their bedroom. The washer has a slanted front, and it is easy for the kids to open the washer up. They can't get it very far open, but, apparently it was far enough!!

There are now silicone gel beads EVERYWHERE in my washer! I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to run this particular load three or four times to get them all out. YUCK!

I'm starting to see the disadvantages to having a "neat freak" be their Mommy....! ;)
