“As you create a home, don't get distracted with a lot of things that have no meaning for you or your family. Don't dwell on your failures, but think of your successes. Have joy in your home. Have joy in your children. Have joy in your husband. Be grateful for the journey.” ~ Marjorie Pay Hinckley

Pumpkin Patch

I got to go with Josh on his class field trip to Bushue's Pumpkin Patch.

My "partner" Josh and I sat next to each other on the bus...

When we arrived, the skies dried up a little and we got a tractor ride to the pumpkin patch!

Josh was pretty excited!

After we found the perfect pumpkin, we made Dirt Babies!

They make "dirt babies" for their science experiments.  We put grass seeds in a nylon stocking for hair (I aligned them straight...so it will grow in as a mohawk) followed by a big scoop of dirt that I helped Josh form into a head.  We then knotted it off and cut the excess nylon off.  Josh picked his colors and made the nose and eyebrows and mouth.  It was pretty cute, really.  :)  They'll wet them and then keep the excess wet so the grass will grow.

After coming down the hay slide.

Seeing the piggies.

Seeing the goats, sheep and chickens.

He liked them all!

His perfect pumpkin!

Such a fun time and I'm glad I got to be there to make memories with Josh! :D
