“As you create a home, don't get distracted with a lot of things that have no meaning for you or your family. Don't dwell on your failures, but think of your successes. Have joy in your home. Have joy in your children. Have joy in your husband. Be grateful for the journey.” ~ Marjorie Pay Hinckley

25 Random things about me...

Eve tagged me. Now you all have to endure...and I say, anyone who reads this is to consider themselves 'tagged' and now 'IT'!!! (lol)

25 Randomly obscure things about Me....

1. I sucked my thumb until I was 12. I had the buck teeth to prove it too.
2. I had braces for 19 months...I got 'em off early for good behavior. Good job, teeth.
3. I love Pink. The color. Although, my boys and I really like Pink the musician, too. :D
4. My Grandpa OJ could never remember my name. He called me Lisa. (Close enough, I guess)
5. I love to run, but only while listening to very loud, obnoxiously angry music.
6. I dated 3 sets of brothers during my single years.
7. I am the 3rd oldest of 8. Five girls, three boys.
8. I'm tall. (Five feet, ten and 1/4 inches to be exact....) But I was always 2nd tallest in my classes growing up. People think I'm much taller than I really am....(Larger than life, maybe? LOL)
9. I had a crush on Elvis growing up. Seriously. And not later in life Elvis. I mean, cute, at the top of his game, Elvis.

RANDOM "Evil" THINGS I DID AS A KID:

10. During a game of hide-and-seek, my sisters hid in the dryer (we were little) and I turned it on while they were still inside....just to see what would happen.
11. I put super-glue on an ice cube and gave it to my sister, hoping it would stick to her tongue. It didn't, and I got the spanking of a lifetime.
12. I put tape on our cats tail and paws and laughed my head off while it tried to walk.
13. I snuck out of the house ONCE with my cousin Kristina, to go pick up a pizza and brought it straight back home.

Back to some "normal" stuff...

14. I love my sons. They are quite possibly the most beautiful boys I've ever seen on this planet. Really. :D
15. My husband is quite possibly the best candidate suited to being married to me. He really is the "ying" to my "yang"....!
16. I love to dance....and do so erratically, while I clean my house. (I also use the scrub brush as my microphone....Don't judge me, people.)
17. I learned how to make an dry ice-bomb from an old boyfriend....(one of said "brothers")
18. I taught myself how to play piano.
19. I have a fetish for cleaning. When I'm angry, I clean. If my house is dirty, my world is in absolute chaos....no surprise my favorite aisle in the store is the cleaning aid aisle.
20. I watched Poltergeist 1-3, and then couldn't look in mirrors for weeks.
21. My sister Sarah and I would torment Diana by going around the house singing "God is in His Holy Temple" while baring our teeth at Diana, to look like the creepy old guy "Cain" in the Poltergeist movie. (Still freaks her out to this day if you do that too....)
21. I once watched Silence of the Lambs by myself, alone, in the house, while my parents were camping at Timothy Lake. (BTW....I don't watch scary movies anymore....)
22. One of my favorite memories growing up is all of us (Mom, Dad, Mike, Lee, Me, Sarah, Diana, Jesse, Jake & Katie) loaded up in "The Beast" (a 1977 Scottsdale Suburban, color: bright blue) and spending the day in Ilwaco, WA, looking at where we used to live, and playing together on the beach. Mike and Lee were even nice that day. :D
23. I don't know how to swim very well. I'm pretty sure my coordination button short-circuits every time I get into the water.
24. There are four favorite foods that I can't ever say no to: Homemade bread, hot fudge, chocolate chip cookies and Coca-Cola.
25. I hate all melons. The texture is absolutely disgusting to me. As well as: mushrooms, scallops, squid, sushi, and brussel sprouts. Although I keep trying to 'like' them.
