“As you create a home, don't get distracted with a lot of things that have no meaning for you or your family. Don't dwell on your failures, but think of your successes. Have joy in your home. Have joy in your children. Have joy in your husband. Be grateful for the journey.” ~ Marjorie Pay Hinckley

January's Updates

Life has been busy here at the 'Mac' home!

Here are just a few silly little updates from January...

*Josh can now say "Matt", clear as day. :D

*BOTH boys are starting to understand "chores" and are becoming more eager to help with daily tasks around the house!

*Grammy Hammies gave Matt his very 1st bike! :D (Thank you Rhonda & Jerry G.!)

*Matt learns how to ride said bike. Or at least learns the fundamentals.

*We finally catch some pretty nasty colds. :( It was bound to happen, but I wish it hadn't! We'd gone from beginning October until now without them....

*Josh LOVES to ride his brothers bike.

*Liz finishes the first major part of her schooling. Final Exams coming up...! EEK!

*We celebrate our 9th anniversary (Stann & Liz)

*We celebrate the following birthdays:

Grammy Hammies, Auntie Lee, Grandpa & Grandma Mac.

*We get our 1st offer on the other house.

*Liz starts reading the City of Ember series.

*Stann finishes up some "honey-do's" and we pack up Christmas deco's into the attic.

*We finally finish our unpacking (What?! We moved into the house in September!) and get our garage back completely. Hooray!

*We say Goodbye to Auntie D, (aka 'NANA') who left us for the bright lights of NY.

*We get a little more snow. Not nearly as much as last time...only 2-3" and it melts after one day.

Like I said...pretty silly, small updates. Nothing big going on. Just A LOT of little 'nothings'.

Stann and I are still attempting to teach Matt to ride a bike. His coordination's getting better. He'll probably be riding by the end of February.

JOSH however, if we lowered the seat, would have it already and be 'poppin' wheelies'. LOL. He's just that kind of kid. Extremely coordinated.

However, if you want a good laugh...

Check out the two videos. In the first one, the boys got a play guitar from Auntie Sarah that they LOVE to 'play' while the radio is on. I caught just the tail end after they'd put down the guitar....

And I tried to teach them to say "Rock On!" and "Thank you Portland! You've been awesome!"

This is after all, vital information that all rock stars must know, even at ages 3 and 2.

So if you get a chance, check it out.

They were cute as buttons!

This next one...is Matt's first ride. Pretty cute. :D

Enjoy your glimpse into the lives of the McNamee's! :D

I love the "thak you Portland" and when Matt asks where Josh is? Very sweet. It sounds like your keeping busy, I hope your colds aren't keeping you down.
