“As you create a home, don't get distracted with a lot of things that have no meaning for you or your family. Don't dwell on your failures, but think of your successes. Have joy in your home. Have joy in your children. Have joy in your husband. Be grateful for the journey.” ~ Marjorie Pay Hinckley

Quick! Someone check the temperature of H-E-double Hockey sticks!

I never thought I would see it. I mean, seriously, like, EVER.

Could someone please check the temperatures in H-E-double hockey sticks and make sure its not frozen completely over? And get back to me on it, quick!

I'm serious. Is the Second Coming happening tomorrow? Yeah....It's like, that big. You could've knocked me over with a feather last night - when Stann actually said "yes" that he and I would go with Stephenson's to a movie, and they said the movie was "Twilight".

Again...shock! He actually went! We saw Twilight in the theater last night. And again, I reiterate, on a date with Zac and Colleen. I have to also add that Colleen picked the movie. But I really can't get over the shock of:

A) He went.

B) He stayed.

C) He wasn't too terribly obnoxious about it. (All things considered, he could've been much, much more abusive towards the movie).

D) He went.

I mean, this is the same guy who declined going to the prom with me - despite my incentive that he would get lucky afterwards (just keepin' it real...'cuz you know any guy that goes with his wife to events such as that - is gettin' a husband of the year award and keepin' his Mrs. very happy!) and HE said (very loosely verbatim) upon finding out that several of our friends' husbands were going with to the midnight showing "When did they become a girl?" So, please, step into my shoes and feel some of the shock!

I have to admit though....I liked it much better the second time....after I knew what to expect - it was better. :) Still by no means, the book....but what movie actually lives up to the book? And your imagination? (Lord of the Rings aside...)

Those of you that know Stann, know he can be a pain in the @$$. But his comments were kept to a minimum (the one that got everyone in the theater laughing was his comment wondering how he and I could fit the term of endearment that Edward used to Bella "spider monkey" into the bedroom... AND a few off-color comments about the iciness of their skin and other things...)

But it was good. Like, seriously, I think I fell in love all over again with my husband again, good. :) Doesn't take much, I'll admit.

I do have to say tho...I like it when he surprises me. I know that he'll ever read the book. Or go to any of the other movies. Not that I'll even make him. But should he ever go again, I'm sure he'll have me melting in his hands like putty. Yeah, I know I'm a sucker. But at least I'm keepin' it real, folks. :)

I still haven't gone, but I think I am going to wait until this baby pops out. I don't want to be in pain while watching a movie. For now it's movies in bed.
Good for you husband... he deserves lots of lovin after that!!!

Congrats Liz! And kudos to Stan for being a good husband, because all good husbands will eventually go see Twilight with their wives. It's the mark of a good husband. :P

My husband promised he would take me opening night. . .guess what. . .I went last night, not with the hubby but my girlfriend who had already seen it. I liked it, but you are right it is not as good as the book.
