“As you create a home, don't get distracted with a lot of things that have no meaning for you or your family. Don't dwell on your failures, but think of your successes. Have joy in your home. Have joy in your children. Have joy in your husband. Be grateful for the journey.” ~ Marjorie Pay Hinckley

Zoo Lights...

We went with some friends of ours to the Oregon Zoo to check out the Zoo Lights!

We had such a good time!

It was cold, but not overly so. Dry even! It rained all morning long - but it was gone by 6:10 or so when we drove into the Zoo parking lot.

Stann & I only had to threaten to turn the van around twice - to get Matthew to stop hitting his brother. (lol)

Many thanks are owed to Stann - who was willing to stop at McD's for dinner tonight. It was a rough day. I spent 3/4's of the time playing referee between the two boys who've lately found a fondness for provoking one another to the point of getting the other one to retaliate in some way or another....causing trouble for that sibling. (I'm on to you boys!!!) AND I was also busy playing goalie - trying to keep kids away from the Christmas tree. We had TWO ornament casualties. (moment of silence)

Okay, but seriously...it was a blast.

And I have to report, Matt is super-duper in like with Kelsey P. He asked her if she could go home with him and sleep with him in his big boy racecar bed. (get your minds outta the gutter...) and on the way home, Matt talked non-stop about his 'fwends' Nowah and Kewa-see (spelled phoenetically so you can 'grasp' just how cute he is when he talks!!! )

Josh was a gruntin' jumpin' fool. And he's a site to behold as he runs. He 'hops' while he runs. LOL. SERIOUSLY. Ask Kelly! ;P

Nate & Stann got to catch up - and we all had a blast riding on the train. SADLY....we missed seeing the new baby elephant. We rode the train first...which was a good thing - as only one train was in operation - and the line was forever long....we'll see the elephant another time. :)

It was definately one of our better FHE's. Thanks "P" Family! :)

Hi McNamee family! So you're probably wondering who the crazy lady was that said hi to Stann as you were getting on the zoo train last night. I'm Susan (Wood) Coburn. I served in the New Hampshire Manchester mission and knew Elder McNamee there. I had heard you guys lived in the area, but I hadn't ever taken the time to look you up. I found the link to your blog today on the mission website. I would have loved to stop and talk for a minute last night, but we were being ushered off the train and to the exit.

Your little boys are adorable! We'll have to get together sometime. We've been here for about 7 years. We lived in Beaverton and then Aloha before we bought our house in Vernonia.
