(SO CONSIDER YOURSELF TAGGED...YOU WHO ARE READING THIS!...Just pop a "comment" in this box so I can see what YOU wrote....!)
Can I again start out by saying I hate tag?! (LOL) It's never fun when you're "it"!
I've been putting it off....but here goes...
Husband Tag
1. Where did you meet your husband?
Hmmm...not sure how to answer this...'Cuz there are THREE different times, and at different ages! (not that I knew it!) We grew up in the same area together....my mom and his mom even remember seeing both of us as little kids - his grandparents were in the 11th Ward - and my grandparents were in Rockwood (while we were in 4th ward). But I first remember him (vividly) because he sat next to me on the plane to EFY. (LOL) True story! He totally tuned me out - and I talked to his friend that he was taking with him to EFY. I went to the "all girls" version ALAY for the older girls (16-18). I even remember thinking to myself...OMG...this guy is sooo rude. (Because I tried to engage him in conversation - and he put on his "walkman" remember those?!) AND that "I could never like a guy like that. Ugh!" We then met again on the 4th of July at Fort Vancouver, in Vancouver, WA, at an impromptu YSA activity - I was sitting by a guy that I liked at the time, and Stann came and plopped himself down in front of me and we totally hit it off. We were both really loud, singing the patriotic songs, got up and danced to a few of them and he even rubbed my feet. Later, (LOL), I knew he must like me, because he tackled me in the parking lot as we were playing tag football, while waiting for the traffic to die down so we could cross the bridge back to Oregon and then he didn't let me up until after he'd copped a feel. LOL. Sooooo 'Stann'!
2. How long did you date before you got married?
We started dating July 5th, 1999, were engaged by October 28th, 1999 and married on January 8, 2000. You do the math.
3. How long have you been married?
Ummm...almost 9 years. (It's #9 in January).
4. What does he do that surprises you?
Hmmm....he does little things. He notices when I cut my hair or color it. He notices when I have a new shirt or jeans or dress. He notices my mood changes. We're both still "in" to each other after all this time. He surprises me constantly by remembering what I say! EX: I mentioned needing space for something-or-another, and then I came home from my beach bookclub weekend and he'd installed a new pantry to add space in the kitchen. It's his attention to all the little details!!! ;0)
5. What is your favorite feature of his?
Can "EVERYTHING" be my answer?! (LOL) If I had to pick one or two...his butt. LOVE his butt. His arms....very strong....Lips, 'cuz I love to kiss those....and his very intense brown eyes....(sigh) okay, maybe there's more than just two....
6. What is his best quality?
His strength and compassion. He's very strong, physically and mentally, but very tender. I like how he doesn't back down from anything...that he can see me and love me for myself, despite my faults....and I love, love, LOVE, that he's an amazing father to boot!
7. Does he have a nickname for you?
Yes....Lizzy, Lizzy Anne, Baby, Babe and Hot Stuff.
8. What is his favorite food?
Prime Rib & Seafood: Scallops, clams, oysters, crab...you name it, if it's been in the ocean, he'll take a bite! ;0) He also has a fondness for vanilla bean icecream (not be be confused with regular or french vanilla...!), strawberry pies and brownies. But he HATES chocolate of any other kind...! And Mountain Dew. Does that count as a food?! (LOL)
9. What is his favorite sport?
It's the 'holy trinity' of sports for him....Football (Go SEAHAWKS!!), Baseball (Go MARINERS!) and Basketball (Go Blazers?...Hmmm...he's re-thinking that one...LOL). Anything else, he may watch, but he's just not quite 'into'....
10. When and where did you first kiss?
On our first date, on a bench, at the City Park. (LOL)
11. What is your favorite thing to do with him?
Everything! I love to dance with him, although he doesn't do it anymore...'cuz he says he 'got the girl'. But I just love to be with him!!! And it doesn't matter what!!! Trip to the dump, cuddling on the couch, camping, remodeling, bicycling....I just love to be with him!
12. Do you have any children?
Yes! TWO AMAZING BOYS! Karl Matthew, 3, & Joshua Elden, soon to be 2!
13. How old is he?
Old enough to not want me to answer that! LOL. At last count....31. I'm a little over 1 1/2 years older than him...(What can I say...? I robbed the cradle, he robbed the grave!)
14. Who said 'I love you' first?
Me. I know! I know! It surprised me to. :) It was actually very tender. I'd just gotten back from Hawaii with my old roommates, (that day), we were at my folks house, on the couch, cuddling - he wouldn't let me go - he'd missed me! He was teasing me pretty badly and I was trying to get him back - and he told me "You don't wanna do that - you know you love me!" and I kinda sat up, thought about it for a second and then told him "Yeah, I think I do!" to which, he started crying....! (tears of joy, i'm sure...lol)
15. What is his favorite music?
His tastes are ecclectic. Country, Alternative, Pop, Classic Rock and some Oldies too....Mostly country and rock though....
16. What do you admire most about him?
His strength, his mind (he's soooo smart! and that's sayin' something comin' from me...mrs. 'smarty pants' - lol), his loyalty, work ethic, sense of humor, the way he honors his priesthood, serves others, loves his family, loves me and the boys....just...Everything! He's just an amazingly wonderful and talented man!!! And I LOVE that he can make me laugh quicker than anyone else!!
17. What's his favorite color?
Hmmm. He doesn't really have one. If I had to pick....Blue. But he likes "earthy" colors and tones.
18. Will he read this?
Nope! But he knows what I think about him already! ;0)

I have to say I'm impressed with everything you know about your sweetie. You guys are a great couple and I have to say I enjoyed reading all that mushy stuff!
so cute!!! It's fun to hear about who you found. Knowing someone since they were little it's kind of fun to see who they ended up with. I am glad that you two are happy. I think it makes life that much sweeter when you get to share it with someone that you love more than anything! We are very lucky gals...
Do you guys have a song?? I know that sound cheesy, but our song is the Pina Colada song... really called "Escape".. it has been that since we started dating in High School... funny song I know to be a song for a couple, but it lets you know when times get tough the grass is not greener some where else Anyway... it's fun to get to know you a little more..
Yeah, we kinda have 2 songs...LOL.
FIRST, our wedding song - "Amazed"...kinda sums up everything we felt/feel for each other...and our 2nd song is "Love Remains the Same" by Gavin Rossdale...which is pretty popular now - but totally describes how your relationship changes, but the love is still there....LOL. CHEESY, but US. :)
