What's up bloggin' peeps?
I'm not deliberately ignoring my blog. There's just been soooo much going on!
*Had a doctors appointment to "tweak" my hormones. I've not been myself the past few months. No energy. No drive. No nothing. We should know by Friday if these will work, but so far....so good. I'm crossing my fingers that I can get back my "energizer bunny" motivation....you know, having some energy to spare AND keep up with my daily chores and my sweet boys. :) Will keep ya posted....
*Our ward did a twist to the normal "Super Saturday" Relief Society craft shin-dig...in that we renamed it "Funtastic Friday" and did it on a Friday night. (Nov. 7th) I was in charge of THREE crafts (I'm not complaining...they were fun!) we did some "BELIEVE" blocks, that were a set of 7, one letter per block...and my HUNKY HUBBY was a doll and cut them out on 4x4 cedar posts, routered them and then helped me sand ALL 77 blocks. (Yup, 11 sets). Then I also taught the tile with vinyl graphics (their last names only...in really pretty script) on them (total piece of cake...) and the glass blocks with the vinyl lettering "Families are Forever" on them. My SIL Aimee, was kind enough to teach the "family" collage - see previous posts for a good look at those. She did a great job helping all the ladies get just the right "look" they wanted...
*Stann and I participated in the Oregon FSA Chapter's Adoption Conference, (the next morning on the 8th! At the Tualatin Stake Center!) as panelists for "The different faces of adoption". We told our story about HOW we got the boys, WHAT it's like to #1 - Go thru the process, #2 - Raise siblings and #3 - Raise the boys in an open adoption. It was a great experience.
*We're having issues with Matt biting. :( We've narrowed down some of his triggers...he's not doing it to be mean....he's very frustrated, and doesn't know how to express himself and/or get the attention he wants. He also does it when he gets too overstimulated. (A little of both on Saturday night) And, unfortunately, he does it pretty much ONLY to the people he loves the most (Daddy, Mommy, Joshy and in this last case I'm talking about, his favorite cousin Ryan). He drew blood like 3 different times. Unfortunately, the 3rd time was the last straw for both him and his Mom....things happened (which I understand WHY they happened, but won't elaborate on)....but the whole situation left both Stann and I feeling "itty-bitty" and like the world's worst parents ever. We tried time outs, biting soap, yelling, crying, you name it. I never want to see things happen like this again. Stann and I were a mess for a couple of days after..... :( We're trying very, very hard to be "on hand" more. (Aka...constant chaperones).
*Both boys have a hacking cough that's making them throw-up. Took them to the doctor and it's all Asthma related. (Tis the season...!) We're going to be giving them oral steroids for the next few days to help their airways open, and they'll be getting CONSTANT neb treatments for the next 2 months to prevent any breathing complications, on top of getting their flu shots next week.
*Been studying. Taking an online course for Medical Billing. Aye-ya-aye! Whenever I close my eyes I see numbers and terms swirling around in the dark....!
*Been writing my book! :) LOL. Melanie has gotten me rarin' to go! I've had to kinda hold myself back tho....telling myself...'You can't write until the laundry's done and put away!' OR 'No writing until the kitchen is cleaned and boys fed.' (LOL) THAT kinda thing.
Will post pics of the boys soon. From Halloween. From birthdays. Everything. Just not right this second. :)
OH! And last but not least....I'm an auntie again! Hooray! :) Jonas now has a brother....Rowan Oliver Hammons was born today, 9 lbs 1 oz. :) Will post pics when I go to see him! ;) Congrats to my baby brother Jake and his lovely wife (my SIL) Cami! ;) Good job! :)

My oldest Keayen now 6 used to bite to so I totally understand. It's frustrating.., but it too shall pass. Glad to say he doesn't bite anymore. Good luck I hated that phase.
it no wonder your a little extra tired just reading you blog wipes me out. I heard all you crafts were the best, don't worry about the meds you'll get them worked out. Matt will get over the biting thing, I had to stop taking the twins to a community playgroup because they were being to rough on the other kids. Love ya, read that book club book!
