My baby turns 3 on Friday. (sigh)
Here's a quick post of our very quick little birthday party we had at our house on Monday - complete with Family Home Evening and dinner. :) Yum! Grammy & Papa brought steak and I made baked potatoes, harvest salad (spring mix, nectarines, strawberries, feta, bacon, tomatoes & a yummy poppy seed dressing. It's soooo yummy!), broccoli & cheese and for dessert, cake and ice cream.
I asked Matt what flavor of cake he wanted and he said "blue". LOL. So a "blue" cake was made. And only the finest of smurfs were used in the making of said cake. (LOL!) It was good - I iced it with chocolate icing, decorated with pumpkin candies and a John Deere tractor. All was right in Matt's world that night!
It was a fun evening - and Matt received some much needed clothing and some really fun trucks and cars, from Aunties & Uncles who know what little boys like!!!
But where has the time gone???! It seems like only yesterday, I received the call that an 8 month old was ready and waiting for us, and NOW, he's 3! (sigh)
I'm gonna go look for the answer to those questions in the bottom of a bottle of Coca-Cola. My goodness Dr. Phil would have a hey-day in my head! ;0)

Congratulations on making it to 3! Happy happy birthday! The time really does fly. Hearing you say "that phone call" hits close to home. WE are both soooo blessed with such sweet children.
Happy Birthday Matthew. It sounds like you had a nice low-key night and that salad sounds awesome. Hey at least your out of the terrible twos!?

I can't belive how fast time flys. It was fun to see some members of your family... I'm glad you had a fun night... very cute cake!!! I might have to take that idea... I loved your dads singing it was the best...
