“As you create a home, don't get distracted with a lot of things that have no meaning for you or your family. Don't dwell on your failures, but think of your successes. Have joy in your home. Have joy in your children. Have joy in your husband. Be grateful for the journey.” ~ Marjorie Pay Hinckley

The Bookworm Bunch

Cue MUSIC: Duh, nuh, nuh, nuh, nuh, Nuh! (To the tune of "Brady Bunch"...)

We got the stories, we read together -
We meet once a month and cackle like we're hens...

Reading all sorts of different novels...

Just to get outta the house and leave our kids with the men....

Takin' turns at, each others houses...

We meet every month, except for in July....

And the pinnacle, is when we meet at Lori's...

At the beach where we all laugh so hard we cry!

The Bookworm Bunch!
The Bookworm Bunch!
This is whyyyyy we becaaaaame the Bookworm Bunch!!

Duh, nuh-nuh-nuh-nuh-nuh-nuh-nuh, NUH!

LOL.
I'm such a geek. (giggle....maybe gettin' closer to bedtime than I thought!)

(These pics taken on a sprint from Carrie's car....on our way back home!)
Okay, so making up words to music, is soooo NOT my strong point. You'd be pretty hard pressed to find ANY strong point about this post, except me mentioning that our "Bookworm Bunch" had a blast at Lori B's beach house in Cannon Beach this weekend. But what do you expect out of a blog posted near midnight?
We discussed (ok, I LISTENED, and I'm not even to page 50 yet, although I promised I'd finish and read it....LOL) our book, The Life of Pi. Our reviews were filled with angst, conflict and some points of confusion.....but very insightful confusion! LOL.

It was such a fun day and a half. I can't believe I hadn't gone sooner - and I can't wait to go next year. We fit 6 of us into a room....(Carrie, Kelly, Selena, Wendy, Shiloh and Moi!) Can you believe it? There was LOTS of giggling. Some re-enactments of the Walton's and Little House on the Prairie. It seriously made me feel like a teenager again, as we stayed up past midnight and were so punchy that NOTHING really made sense of what we said, and eventually all communications were down to just giggling in Morse Code! But WAAAAAY fun. Thanks to Carrie for driving. :) And all the rest of ya'all for makin' it soooo very fun. :)

(Can you believe bottom pic was taken from the side of the road?! AGAIN...on our way home...!)

Are you a pinochle fan?? You should come to our annual pinnochle tournament right after Christmas. It is sooo fun the kids play around the house while the adult play pinochle. We have about 6 table set up for pinochle each year it gets bigger and they are all family believe it or not... Awesome huh??
Anyway I love book club too.. is it through your church?? Cause it is through ours. Anyway the snow all melted, but it's really frosty out there. brrrrrrr. I love it....
