“As you create a home, don't get distracted with a lot of things that have no meaning for you or your family. Don't dwell on your failures, but think of your successes. Have joy in your home. Have joy in your children. Have joy in your husband. Be grateful for the journey.” ~ Marjorie Pay Hinckley

Christmas 2011 {finally}

It's only February.  Why not post pictures from Christmas?  My brother in law Curt (below) showed me how to upload the pictures from my new camera onto my laptop.  It was so unbelievably simple, I *blush* at my blonde-ness.

Christmas Eve   12.24.2011

We had it at Curt & Aimee's house.  Pretty laid back.  We all were pretty strapped this year, but we made an extra effort for the kids.

Ugh.  I hate posting photos of me.  I'm just so overweight right now and this photo in particular adds another 30 pounds or so.  But I will use it as my "before" shot once I lose my weight! ;)

But what a cute husband, eh?!  I always have such a hard time taking photos...and I'm trying to make sure I get ONE photo of myself in there....just to prove I really was there at the time...and a photo fairy didn't come by and take pictures...

Cute, cute boys.  So excited to open their presents from Grandma!  Shhh...don't tell 'em...it's pajamas!

And a remote control car.  Can't just  have practical gifts, can we?!

Brianna and Uncle Monkey...it was getting soooo close to bedtime and Santa's arrival...

He does love to hug and cuddle babies.

CHRISTMAS MORNING  12.25.2011

A bleary 6 am morning...Sunday morning.  Church starting in T-minus 4 hours and some change.

Notice the camo jammies?  Um, yeah.  My boys are under the impression that if they stand still in camo...no one can see them.  Hence the funny expressions.  One of these days I'll video it and post it online.  Hysterical.  Really.

One of the perks of living with Grandma - is that we're really close to Gigi and Jason.  So we open all our gifts together Christmas morning.  The boys have a very special relationship with their Gigi.  They had to show her everything they got from Santa...

Josh trying to keep Daddy from peeking.  Grandma got him a new suitcase and there wasn't a bag big enough to hold it...so Josh volunteered to keep Daddy honest.

Super-Matt.  The masked crusader.

Dad helping the boys....they got R/C Monster trucks....what fun!

Christmas Afternoon - Hammies - 12.25.2011

We arrived after church to spend the afternoon and evening with my folks.  Mom made a most-excellent prime rib.  [oh! i love my folks! and boy-oh-boy can my mama cook!]
Papa & Grammy Hammies handing out gifts to grandkids...notice the plethora of boys?
They make up the majority of the Hammies grandkids.

Again...the obligatory picture to prove I was, in fact, in attendance.  Slightly better photo though. lol.

Now come the precocious...errr....precious girls in the Hammies family.  We start with the current youngest (soon to be upstaged by her little sister Sophie...once she's born that is...)

Zoe Belle.  Total imp.  And...can you tell who she looks like?!

Me!  (Okay...not the ears.  But everything else...she's a mini-Aunt Lizzy)  So freakin' cute...if I do say so myself!  *side note:  I was so happy someone in the family ended up looking like me....the genetic dead end.  It's a nice feeling seeing your duplicate.)

Avery Brooke.  This little mini-diva (make up courtesy of Grammy) is LeeAndra's double.  Super outgoing. So funny. Such a sweetie pie!

Emma.  What a sweetie.  :)  Last but DEFINITELY not least!  What a sweetheart...kind and considerate and just so much fun!

Hangin' out at Mom and Dad's...before dinner.

Such a fun Christmas.  Lots of good memories.  Can't wait to be with all my brother's and sister's again this year!
