“As you create a home, don't get distracted with a lot of things that have no meaning for you or your family. Don't dwell on your failures, but think of your successes. Have joy in your home. Have joy in your children. Have joy in your husband. Be grateful for the journey.” ~ Marjorie Pay Hinckley

Week 4

Week 4 begins with a quiet bang.

I've been more consistent this week. I'm also more sore this week too! :P

The scale says I've gained 4 lbs total since starting my weight loss journey, but my measurements say I've lost 1/2" off my hips. LOL. Not sure which I really prefer? I'd like the numbers to start decreasing, but it's still too early.

I'm still 4 weeks with no soda, no caffeine and now, no cravings for it. Well, not too bad anyways. We had rootbeer floats at HFPE last night for dessert and I had fruit instead. And water. Lots and lots of water.

My sister was telling me about a weight loss supplement HGH (Human Growth Hormone) that has helped several of her friends lose weight.

It's also super expensive and not without risks. Enlarged heart, kidneys, the like.

So, I told her thank you but no thank you, I'm sticking to the old-fashioned, really hard way. :P LOL.

I was supposed to run this morning with Mel, but gave her a by when she said she'd been up with her baby all night. No one should have to prop open their eyeballs while trying to push out running and walking 2-3 miles. So, I'm popping on the Total Body Workout again. And I'll see how far I can push myself...and try not to look at my reflection in the TV as I follow the stick figures on the TV.

Still not sure if we're going camping with my family this weekend. If we don't then we are the only ones (besides LeeAndra....who's severed ties with the family for the past year and a half....don't ask) who won't be going up. Which makes me sad....because I soooo love camping with my family. It gets pretty loud and rambunctious when we get the whole crew together.

So...there's where its at.

I'm trying to walk my butt off (literally and figuratively) and if I can step it up another notch each week...I might actually get somewhere! :P

I'm really sorry. I'll call you today. I needed to talk to you anyway. Seriously, that little monster wouldn't sleep last night and so when 5:50 rolled around (and he was awake crying again!), I felt guilty leaving Seth (who had been up all night too) and I couldn't seem to see straight enough to walk, let alone run.
Anyway, let's go tomorrow or Saturday to make up for today. And keep at it! Scales lie but measurements don't!

Great self-discipline on the no soda and sticking with a work-out even when life gets in the way. Soon it get easier as it become more of a habit and lifestyle!
