I love my boys.
Really, I do.
However, they're up to their shenanigans again.
Yesterday was Awful. Yes, you read right. "Awful", with a capital "A".
I know it seems impossible, but they managed to get into EVERYTHING. And this was only during the times of 2pm to 7pm.
FIVE HOURS.
It's like they channeled Dennis the Menace or something.
Josh has learned a new skill. He can open the fence up (the fence that has all the outdoor tools, mower & gas cans behind it.
He did it THREE times. Even with a spanking and a time out or two.
I fixed that problem at 7pm when I bought a new carribbeaner and "locked" the gate.
(never let it be said that I can't fix my own problems...)
He also keeps treating my garden box like a sand box. I'm not quite sure how my plants are supposed to grow with Tonka trucks constantly digging them up?!
Matt went with Stann to attempt to get David's truck off the mountain.
No go.
They got up past the 3rd gravel pit and then hit 36" of snow suddenly. They made it thru to his truck....it's still buried!
So they've got a few more weeks left before they attempt it again.
They dug up my tomato plants and two artichoke plants as well. I could only save the tomatoes.
We were on our way out the door to go run some errands when I had to run back in the house and grab my purse. On my way to the car, I passed Stann in the garage (he'd forgot the keys) and so seriously, it was FIVE SECONDS the boys were unattended, when they managed to find the gas can full of diesel fuel and spill it all down the driveway.
I'm wondering if the diesel fumes from the earlier play in the gasoline have damaged their brains?!
Nevertheless....it got ugly.
Stann stayed home, while I ran errands. He put both boys into their rooms until he was calm.
By that time, they'd fallen asleep. Out. Cold. (this made for a very interesting night....consisting of kids up until midnight....josh being my bedpartner and sleeping sideways and kicking me in the head. this child does not share well!)
On top of which....
I mowed the lawn. And slept with the windows open. I woke up this morning so congested that my voice sounds like Barry White.
No exaggeration.
I could've done this Friday and performed for our Ward Talent Show.
And I'm so plugged up that my allergy meds aren't working. And if I don't go lie down soon, I'll end up in the same boat as last week; flat on my back, cold cloth on my eyes and my migraine cocktail in my tummy.
So here's to another fun-filled week of the misadventures in parenting Mischief and Mayhem! And hoping I get those anxiety meds filled again...!~:P

so I understand kids getting into things.. love these times because you will get a kick out of it... ok those are the inspirational words of the day.. in the mean time tie them up and lock them in there rooms until they are at least 6.. lol... just kidding
so about the gun.. I am afraid of guns.. I am glad I have a husband that likes them and can shoot them..
I am a girly girl when it comes to guns..
Aren't kids fun. Can I tell you how great it is to have them all out of the house...I do miss them, but not the messes. May the Lord bless you with patience. Hope today goes easier on you. Love, Susan
It is amazing what they can accomplish in such a short amount of time. My girls also managed to "pick" a bunch of my recently planted annuals and through them in the gutter. Hope your allergies don't get to bad thats the one bad thing about the sunny weather.
man, those boys are quick! sorry about your crazy day. so i'm just curious...what's your migraine cocktail? :)
My migraine cocktail is 2 excedrin migraine and 4-6 ibuprofen, with rest. :P
