Humpf. Another "JMH" for the family. LOVELY. ;0) (Just kiddin'). He's a cutie pie. Has the family "butt" chin. He's a little slugger - 8 lbs 13 oz. Not the biggest child delivered in our family (they usually tip the heavier 9 lb scale...) but we'll keep him!!!!
I'm not sure what my Dad started, or if he even REALIZED at the time what was about to be started....but ALL of my brothers share the same initials "JMH". And now all of the MALE Hammons children have the same initials.
You think I'm kidding?
James Michael Hammons now has a son named Joel Michael Hammons.
Jesse Marcus Hammons is currently single and lookin' for love.....(And ladies if HEIGHT is your thing....well, let me just mention that he's 7 feet tall....any takers?!)
And last but not least, Jacob Matthew Hammons has a son named Jonas Michael Hammons and is currently expecting son #2....due to arrive soon!
See a trend??
Now on the OFF chance that Cami & Jake don't name son #2 with JMH initials....he's gonna get teased - or something like that - that "Mom and Dad didn't love him enough to give him the initials...." or whatever crazy crap that kids can come up with just for the joy of watching another sibling squirm. (Been there - occasionally still do that....)
Now, the REST of my family have semi normal names. Elizabeth, Sarah, Diana, Katherine....(all royalty too, mind you! ;0) With the exception of Lee Andra. I've not heard of very many females named Lee Andra. It is a pretty name though. :) (FYI She was SUPPOSED to be a boy but didn't get the memo....then her name would've been Lee Andrew....thus spoiling the confusingness (?!) of JMH which I'm going on a about right now....) Oh, and Mom. Mom got a funny name too. Who names their kid Narda?! Who? My grandparents, that's who. The rest of the family got normal names...Susan, Laura, Sharon, Joanne, David & Jeffrey....why single out the one???!
Names are soooo interesting are they not? It's so personal, it's what you'll be called the REST of your life....or what your kids will be dealing with - courtesy - of the legacy you want to leave. I can never understand why some people slaughter names for their kids...spelling phoenetically rather than NORMALLY. Are ya TRYIN' to getcher kid beat up on the first day of school?!
I have a normal name. And I thought it was TORTURE fiendishly devised by my parents, all throughout my school years. Lizardbreath. Gizard. Lizard. Blizzard. Blizzardbreath. Why do they always have to add a "breath" to insulting names anyways???? A "play" off of the name "Beth"? It's not like I didn't have a mouthful anyways....!!!
AND....did I mention the majority of grandkids have bible names...?? Zachary, Luke, Gabriel, Nicholas, Matthew, Joshua....you get the picture. But I'll save that tirade for another day. (As I LIKE that trend...)
When it came time to name my kids, although I did it prayerfully I specifically kept TWO things in mind.
#1 - What's it gonna look like on a business card?? Is someone REALLY gonna take my son seriously if his name is Phoenix or Feenix or Feeniks? Come on. SERIOUSLY?
#2 - I think people forget that ONE DAY your cute little baby is going to be a grandma!! How WEIRD does it sound to say "Mom, can I go visit Grandma Kelsie? Grandma Breanna? Kylee?" Am I painting a mental picture here yet?
It just sounds funny.
But again....JUST MY OPINION. :)

That is so funny. I just love reading what you have to say... But it is so true who is going to take an adult seriously when there name is Apple? Honestly... I had no idea there were pregnant ladies in your family... that is so exciting. I got a new niece today myself. ( 5 pounds 10 oz 2 weeks early)... And your mom totally got gypped on her name... The names she must have been called poor thing... but I still lover her... I see that you have a count down going... I have been told I need to read the Twilight series and I will start the first book soon cause I have my tickets to see the move Dec 11 at mid night... I need to blog more but it looks like everything is going well.
