“As you create a home, don't get distracted with a lot of things that have no meaning for you or your family. Don't dwell on your failures, but think of your successes. Have joy in your home. Have joy in your children. Have joy in your husband. Be grateful for the journey.” ~ Marjorie Pay Hinckley

The highly anticipated, long, overdue MOVE.

The time is almost upon us! Hooray!

This is a picture of my BEE-AUTIFUL old home. I'm using "old" very liberally here. This is the first house that Stann and I bought. We've been renting it out, lo these many years (okay, okay...try TWO). And the time for our return is fast approaching!! Yay!!!

Here's some perks about going back "home":

*Fenced Yard & Garden!

*NEWER home - with no vermin to exterminate!!!

*Neighborhood (okay...there are MINUSES too in that aspect...)

*More than one bathroom. Wahoo!

*A LARGE master bedroom with a very nice walk in closet....

*One block away from the new City park....

*A LOT less traffic.

MINUSES ARE: I leave my gorgeous kitchen that I designed!!! (WAAAHHH!) I leave behind my gorgeous laundry room and the TONS of storage space that I've just newly acquired and built in! :( I leave behind my acre of land - while on a busy street - it's still our land!!!

We'll be trying to sell the home we're currently living in now....(sigh). AND...we'll be finding new homes for Brodie, Daisy, Lucy & Suki. (2 beagles and 2 pygmy goats....any takers?!) As #1 its sooo not fair for our dogs to be cooped up in a small little pen after having TONS of room to roam free and play....AND, I'm soooo not doing the goat thing in a neighborhood. *Nosey Rosey (I'll explain about this neighbor later...as I'm sure to have several run ins with her in the future....) and the HOA will be sure to complain. :)

*Nosey Rosey is our nick name for the lady that lives BEHIND our Sandy house - 2 doors up the street on the left. This woman has got to be the BIGGEST busy body that ever lived! And her name really IS Rosey. She practically LIVES over at city hall - looking up the addresses in the neighborhood and finding out whatever information she can about EVERYONE! She knows who rents, who's bought, who's divorcing, who's cheating, who's kids are out and causing trouble, who's kids are on the honor roll, etc., etc.... and HEAVEN HELP you if you're behind on your yardwork....!! She'll come a knockin' on your door telling you its an eyesore! ;) No kidding. I know I'm painting a pretty bad picture, but I do have to say, she's not all THAT bad....if your kids are sick, she offers to watch them for you, she bakes treats for the holidays, and she is very nice to you if you pass her on the street. She also immigrated from Turkey like 40 years ago - her husband's a retired Air Force Commander. But, I digress....and like I said, you'll probably be hearing more about my future exploits with her at later dates!)

ANYWAYS....Like I said, we're moving back. September 1st. (sigh). It's good and it's bad. Good in the fact that I can now be a little more mobile with the kids on walks - I haven't wanted to risk taking them for runs up and down Orient....it's just too busy! The park is just 1 block away and I get to be back in my old neighborhood with my old friends! YAY!

And the BAD...I have to pack everything. Yuck. I'm thinkin' if I garage sale it all, I can save myself the hassle!!! But somehow I don't think I'll get Stann to agree with me....!

I do not envy your moving...it is such a hassel. When we moved I couldn't figure out where all of the junk/crap came from...did I BUY all that stuff? What was I thinking :) Anyway, good luck!

I call him ass hole and her another not so good name... but unlike your neighbor I can't think of one good thing about them... :) good luck with Rosie and the move...

Congatulations! Yay! I am so excited for you! A little more space in the house is always nice. Although you will miss the acreage you had. I miss it for you already! Good Luck!

Yeah, I will have to agree on the, "I don't want the pets!" I would love to help with the boys. I will be back in town on the evening of the first, so if I can be of any help let me know. I am suppose to can pears when I get home but I think my little sister may do it while I am gone.

You better be happy with the cleaniness of those bathrooms.
