“As you create a home, don't get distracted with a lot of things that have no meaning for you or your family. Don't dwell on your failures, but think of your successes. Have joy in your home. Have joy in your children. Have joy in your husband. Be grateful for the journey.” ~ Marjorie Pay Hinckley

Seattle Trip - Part 1: Woodland Zoo

Part of getting Stann ready for his new job, entailed him getting an expedited passport.  He had to go to Seattle to do that, so...We tagged along!

After FOUR HOURS in the car....the boys were still amazingly good!  I'm particularly impressed because - we got there, just in time to sit and wait for Stann with his appointment.

Which required an hour more wait in the car.
They were troopers though!  They waited patiently and we rewarded their patience with a trip to the Woodland Zoo.

Can I just tell you how impressed I was with this zoo?

I thought Hogle Zoo in SLC was good...but this zoo is really thought out, super family friendly...

And they have the coolest animals!

The exhibits let you get up REALLY close and personal with the animals.  The boys (and Stann and I too!) were amazed at how big some of the animals are - especially when you're like...

RIGHT THERE!

Family picture time!

Josh is such a poser!  Matt didn't want to stay in the picture...so I had to keep him still.

I can't remember the name of this bear...but he was funny!

It was a blast....and that was only part 1.

We also got to visit my one of my oldest sweetest kindest friends, Darcy and her sweet family.  I finally got to meet her youngest Joseph, and see just how big Abigail and Jacob have gotten!

It was a full day - but so wonderful!  And both Stann and I were so impressed with how the boys composed themselves and keeping it together!
