Nordstrom Tastes....Dollar Store BUDGET..!!

Just a quick gripe.  (ha, ha)

I've been PURSE hunting for the better part of three (Yes, you read right....thuh-ree!) months.  I've been all over.

Purse hunting that is.

My problem is this:

I have Nordstrom tastes....with a Dollar Store budget!! (*ergh!*)

I have a really hard time paying full-price anything.  And I hate paying more than $20 (TOPS!) for a brand-new purse....and I have a $7 LIMIT for thrift store purchases....

I've been to Goodwill - and SHOCK! - could NOT believe my eyes on the outrageous prices they're charging...I found TWO purses - that I liked, not loved, liked.

For a beat-up, seen better days, smells suspiciously like cigarettes, "Liz Claiborne" black purse....they wanted $29.99.  (!?!!!!)

And then for a generic knock-off black faux-leather purse they wanted $14.99.

I found a purse I {LOVE!} at Fred Meyer for $21.60 (with 15% off coupon) - that's a name I recognize, cute style and brand-new, unsmelling of cigarettes and who-knows-what-else?!

Again...having problems paying for it - since it's over my $20 limit - it's not that I don't have the money....I've set some aside to "play" with - I just don't wanna pay that much for a purse that I'll use for 4 months before wanting the next new "thing"...!  {Purses, shoes....Thanks, Mom for that lovely addiction....!}  And, yes, $1.60 is what is standing between me and what could be my next new purse...

But....I'm just saying....There's a problem....when the difference between "economical" and "new" is $6....?  Am I wrong?

On a side note....I got THESE:

At the Gresham Goodwill - for $12.00 - I paid $4.00 for the black pair (the tag was the 50% off color) and I paid $7.99 for the brown pair (they're Mia2's!!!).  BOTH leather...BOTH practically brand new.

THESE are the kind of "deals" I'm looking for when I go to Goodwill - the ones that make me smile...Oh Goodwill...how could you disappoint me and thrill me all at the same time?! {LOL}

like the purses, but the shoes I love. Nice to know I am not the only one who hunts for shoes at thrift stores. My last two dollar deal dress shoes just broke last Sunday so I need to go shopping again. Glad you found some great deals...I love it!
