Seriously? Who negotiates with a two-year old?!
They wised up and just put it on him, amidst his yelling "No, No, No!", and he fought them. (Atta boy, Tiger...just kidding.)
He did pretty good. But wouldn't keep all the Oxygen Monitors and Lines on him. (Duh?! He's 2! All that stuff gets yanked on!?!?!!)

Afterwards, he cried. Well, yelled, is the more appropriate term. The Doctor came to the waiting room to tell us it was over, and said only one person could come back at that time. I didn't even ask Stann. I just went.
But, as you can see, Daddy's the one who he wanted, after I calmed him down. I was still too anxious about everything, and I'm pretty sure he picked up on that....or so Stann tells me...
But I didn't bawl my eyes out!!! Which is still a good step in the right direction.
In the mean time, SENIOR is having a hard time with brother getting all the attention. He does take a really good pic though, huh? Those dimples....those eyes....(sigh). This boy's gonna break some serious hearts.

Back to the matter at hand tho....he either pushed or "assisted" Josh off a small green stool yesterday, while Stann was watching them (I was showering) and if you scroll down....
HUGE goose-egg. Scraped cheeks, hands, nose.....my baby looks like he's been in an MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) brawl. But he's doing okay. I checked for a concussion...and we kept him up later than normal, just to be safe. (This happened last night).

Needless to say....sleep has not been on the menu. I'm having to coerce Josh to take his medicine (for pain) every four hours.
Add on top of that: an antibiotic, a steroid (and oh yeah...THIS makes him a happy boy...sense my sarcasm? It totally amps him up and makes him even crankier than he currently is....), and we also have a suppository for nausea.
Yes, you heard right. A suppository. Because I wasn't already having enough fun trying to chase down a wiggly two year old and medicate him for his pain...!

On a brighter note, on Monday, my sister and my sister-in-laws and I took the kids (minus Nicky) to the zoo. (Nicky is Katie's son).
Gabe (Sarah's youngest, as if you couldn't tell by the picture), was super-helpful with the boys. Matt and Gabe have now started to call/talk to each other on the phone. It's pretty cute! :D

Kim (Michael's wife), brought her three kids, and my only nieces on my side of the family....
L-R: Avery, Joel & Emma. Avery is the spitting image of my sister LeeAndra at that age. Boy, is Mike gonna have his hands full. 'Cuz she was super-cute and bubbly. And guys were always swarming her.
Joel is five months and roughly the size of a pee-wee league quarterback. Again, the Hammons' gene has bred another giant! Because he's growing along the same lines as his Uncle Jesse.
Who, I might remind those of you (who don't know), is my SEVEN FOOT TALL BROTHER. Yeah, you read it right. He tops out at 7'0" tall. But he's proportioned! :D
Then there's my munchkins. They're pretty cute. But totally average. Well, skinny and lanky average. :D We'll see how they turn out. But in all seriousness....
Sometimes its hard to remember they're not genetically ours....they fit soooo well into the family and have so many of our families traits....that it's hard to remember they may not end up just like the rest of the boys....! :D (I'm thinkin' they're going to anyways....they're freakishly strong, just like the Mac's and Hammies....and looks wise...they share all of Stann's and my physical traits). I LOVE THAT!! :D

So...have to interject this....we were lookin' at the polar bears...and seriously, this was the image we kept seeing. Except once or twice he put his bum ON the glass.

And here's the line up. Of kids, I mean...(MINUS Nick, Jonas & Rowan...for the Hammies side).

So Matty looked up at me and pointed and said...
"Look! Mom! Mom! It's a BEAR BUM!"
Totally funny. 'Cuz I took it more like "It's a BARE BUM."
(Hee, hee, hee!!)
Couldn't help myself. My kids a comedy genius at 3. He must get that from Stann....!

These houligans had a really great time together. I just love watching my boys with their cousins!
Both sides. :D

(L-R: Nathan, Ryan, Emily, Matt & Josh. Katelynn's missing. But she was only a few months old when this was taken...but thought I'd give them equal representation...)
Every time I watch them play together, it's just soooo funny. All they ever seem to be are just brothers and sisters that live with different members of the family. They treat each other just like siblings (only, sometimes a little nicer) and they are soooo creative and fun!
Makes me seriously miss MY COUSINS.
'Cuz I have some GREAT cousins. Who, I might add, have either
A) Gotten me into trouble. (Usually the Jolley boys.)
B) Snuck out with me (Kasper Girls & Angie)
C) Played jokes and tricks on each other (BOTH SIDES!)
Anyway you look at it...we've just had a lot of fun together. I may just have to take a trip down memory lane and dig up some of the pics, to show you what I mean. And what I remember! I wish we could've seen more of them growing up!!!
But I'm sooo glad my boys have the opportunity (thus far) to get to know their cousins too! :D

Zoo pictures look fun, Nate just took the kids today! Thanks for updating on Josh, hopefully he recovers quickly, I think you're due for less drama in your life. Love your haircut!
I haven't looked at your blog for awhile so today I updated myself. Very fun. It sounds like you are in the throws of Motherhood....trying to stay ahead of the game.....
I loved your haircut.....Did Jake's wife cut your hair? Is she a beautician?
Tell everyone hi for us.
