“As you create a home, don't get distracted with a lot of things that have no meaning for you or your family. Don't dwell on your failures, but think of your successes. Have joy in your home. Have joy in your children. Have joy in your husband. Be grateful for the journey.” ~ Marjorie Pay Hinckley

LAUNDRY ROOM REMODEL!

BEFORE PICTURES....

This is what our Laundry Room looked like when we bought the house.....Nothing spectacular...the previous owners had to have plumbing re-done before they were able to move in, and the design just didn't work.

This is what it looked like during our REMODEL! Believe it or not - we had to take it ALL apart. Down to the joists - sheetrock, everything! The floor had to be leveled (meaning we had to demolish a 4" concrete floor and then add a subfloor, and rework the plumbing, ductwork, electrical, EVERYTHING! We also had to plan for storage (because this house is SERIOUSLY lacking in that department!) And THIS is what Stann and I came up with!

This is what it looks like NOW...after we remodeled during MLK's holiday... we widened the kitchen doorway through to the Laundry, added matching cabinets and a sort-of look alike countertop - painted the color to match, moved the hot water heater to its own closet and voila! Livable space! Isn't my hunny soooo talented?!
