I officially am an "empty nester" - at least in the school age sense. Both of my children are now in school and I've been left to ponder...
Whatever do I do with my time?!
You might be surprised to know....8 am to 12:30 pm is not as long as it sounds....
By the time I make it into town (say...Gresham) I have only a 2 hour window to accomplish one or two errands on a very long list - in order to make it back home and be there smiling for my baby as he steps off the bus!
So I've looked into:
*Finding a part time job.
*Voluteering.
*Substituting as a teacher's aide at the school.
*Substituting in a daycare facility.
Just to be productive.
However....it's been much harder than I thought to find something that I know I'll enjoy 24/7 - errr - I mean 4/5 (four hours, five days a week...).
The hunt continues....
