“As you create a home, don't get distracted with a lot of things that have no meaning for you or your family. Don't dwell on your failures, but think of your successes. Have joy in your home. Have joy in your children. Have joy in your husband. Be grateful for the journey.” ~ Marjorie Pay Hinckley

Half way....

Just a quick note. I'm not dead!

I can't believe we're halfway through 2009. There are now only 182 days until Christmas left. (Don't yell at me....I was just as shocked as you are - and so therefore, had to post it...!)

Considering we're halfway through the year, and I don't have much to show for it....I've been busy this week!

Father's Day - I was sick. :( Poor Stann! His day consisted of playing Mommy & Daddy to the boys...I came down with an awful tummy bug. YUCK. The boys were sick (only for a day) on Friday night thru Saturday night....temperatures, and just feeling yucky....and though there was throwing up - (I thought it might be a bug at first....) I later realized it was from coughing so hard! (Josh's asthma).

MY bug was different. It came on Saturday night - it lasted no more than 24 hours - although I was wiped out for 48. And I WISH I could've thrown up. I'd have taken that over the non-stop nausea! Yuck.

So, this week has been lots of cleaning up (the laundry never does itself when I'm sick....though I wish it did...) disinfecting the house, cleaning little boys' bedrooms & going through toys, etc., to give some much needed order back into my house....

I cleaned out the office, the closets (yup, plural - all the upstairs and downstairs!) reorganized my linen cupboards and am getting ready to garage sale the leftovers! And I'm Craigslisting the bigger items....to free up some space...

I'm also thinking of Craig's Listing my Kitchen Aid. I never use it anymore....because I'm always making more than one batch at a time!! Maybe with the money I get from Craig's Listing those items, I'll buy a bigger Kitchen Aid....?

Anyhoo....Enough deliberation!

First up on tomorrow's agenda...weeding, mowing, etc., making shelves for the linens I don't currently have room for, cleaning the garage, cleaning the algae & moss off my house and cleaning out the gutters....

IF I get it all done, I'll post pics.

In the mean time, I've got about 6 cups of grated zucchini that I inadvertently defrosted, (aka kids grabbed out of freezer and left in the garage - which I found in a slushy puddle - defrosting!) and I have to do something with! :P
