“As you create a home, don't get distracted with a lot of things that have no meaning for you or your family. Don't dwell on your failures, but think of your successes. Have joy in your home. Have joy in your children. Have joy in your husband. Be grateful for the journey.” ~ Marjorie Pay Hinckley

I got tagged....

A.The rules of this game are posted at the beginning.
B. Each player answers the question about themselves.
C. At the end of the post, the player then tags 5 people and posts their names, and then leaves a comment on their blog letting them know they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog to get the directions.

Questions:
Hmmm....lets see....I was dating a guy named Christopher Fisher, thought I was madly in love and was awaiting a ring, proposal and an invite to move to California - all in that order! I was also working as an Executive Assistant at CTI (Carlson Testing Inc.) to Doug & Andy - two of the BEST bosses I've EVER HAD! I was attending the Mt. Hood YSA Ward and just having a grand old time bein' single!

5 Things on my list of things to do today
(FYI...These are ranked in order of importance)
1. Get Josh to Doctor. (Did this - he has pneumonia...YUCK!) We are now going DAILY to said doctor, located in Gresham. (Oy Vay! My gas bill!) We're getting more Rocefin shots (antibiotic) to keep him (HOPEFULLY) out of the hospital!
2. Clean my kitchen or at least load the dishes into the dishwasher, to clear up counterspace. I've been a little busy - and haven't had 2 hands to do my day-to-day stuff....with Josh on my hip and wanting to be held!
3. Catch up on my Laundry. Confession: I've been wearing shorts because all my jeans are dirty and I haven't had time to fix this! Poor Stann! He's worse off than I am!
4. Take a bath. Not that I haven't showered, it's just more of a "Calgon TAKE ME AWAY!" Kinda thing....
5. Update my blog. Yay! 4 outta five ain't bad...(I loaded the dishwasher)...

Things I would do if I suddenly was a Billionaire
I would first pay tithes on it....(it makes the money go farther, I'm CONVINCED OF IT!) THEN, pay off all our debt, set up several IRA's for my children (for college, missions, etc.), adopt about 10 more kids (or try in-vitro), hire a part-time housekeeper/nanny (that's a combination of Alice from the Brady Bunch and Mary Poppins), give all of Stann's and my siblings, our parents and grandparents, a $50,000 check to do with what they would....pay off our parents' mortgages, donate about $10 million to the church for temple funds, perpetual education fund, or whatever they needed; remodel our home here on the property, buy a couple more properties (I have dreams of being a "slum lord" ha, ha!), build our dream home on about 25+ acres, and take a family vacation with EACH SIDE....and if there was anything left....put it in the bank and live off the interest....!!

3 of my bad habits
I can get kinda obsessed - aka...tunnel vision - about certain tasks/things in my life and forget the things that really matter....EX: I like to read. I'm an escape artist when I read....I avoid things, people, whatever - and have a bad habit of doing it sometimes....

I'm selectively lazy. My motivation has been lost since having 2 kids! Exercise, once my daily lifeline has gone to the wayside, and I've fallen into the trap of not taking that first step to getting myself BACK on TRACK! Cleaning was also an outlet....one I've had to let go of - as I cannot keep my previous cleanliness standards and stay sane! (Although the small little blue pill I take everyday helps with the sanity thing....!)

I've become a stress eater. I am. I USED to go run (while blasting really loud angry music and I'd come back happy with all my probs worked out), and NOW, I've taken to eating rather than dealing with the situations at hand....and am WORKING on recognizing it AS it happens...it's harder than you think!

Places I have lived
You ready for this long list??? (HAAAA!) Portland, OR, Ilwaco, WA, Back to Portland, OR, Gresham, OR, Portland, OR, Back to Gresham, OR, then to Tigard, OR, Sandy, OR and now I live in Boring, Oregon!

Jobs I have had
I've babysat (from 12-18), I BRIEFLY worked for my Dad while he built Tualatin HS (I scrubbed grout off of bricks with Hydrochloric Acid....my LAST menial job, I might add...), I then got my first REAL job as a Receptionist (Legal Secretary in Training!) at a Law Firm in Gresham, then I worked at CTI (as a data entry typist, then Asst. Office Manager, then the Executive Assistant to the CEO and President). THEN....I went to work for Andersen Construction as a PMA (Project Manager's Assistant) and then a very brief stint at Ever Fresh as an Inventory Control Analyst (data entry), and I've done a few housekeeping jobs here and there (mostly with Jodi) and I'm now a SAHM. I now hold my board meetings in the bathroom - and all the meeting minutes are written on the walls - or toilet paper - or wherever my 2 year old can reach, while he has a crayon in his hand.....

Things most people don't know about me
Believe it or not, I'm SHY...AND VERY SELF CONSCIOUS! I also have 4 sisters all of whom could grace the cover of a magazine...I love to sing, and sang competitively in High School, coming in 1st place in my division (Mezzo Soprano). Hmmmm....I also was in a play - Saturday's Warrior - and I played Pam.....My recurring nightmares are about me being chased down by a lion and mauled to death....I'm supposed to wear glasses and I'm so vain I won't....I REALLY wanted to go to BYU - but never tried or applied myself.....I dropped out of high school my senior year - but went back and graduated....I once did a "freeze-out" with a bunch of girls on the way home from a church dance....(if you don't know what this is...I'll tell you later)...I've had 9 surgeries and have been in the emergency room so much that they knew my name on site at KP-Sunnyside growing up....Oh and I kissed Stann on our first date.

There. You now know the deepest recesses of my soul.

I'm tagging: Stephanie, Molly, Tracey and Diana....
