“As you create a home, don't get distracted with a lot of things that have no meaning for you or your family. Don't dwell on your failures, but think of your successes. Have joy in your home. Have joy in your children. Have joy in your husband. Be grateful for the journey.” ~ Marjorie Pay Hinckley

2012

Annual New Year's Resolutions...
2012.  Who'd have thunk it?  According to the Mayan calendar, it marks the end of the world.  Well, if we're not finished off sometime this year, these are my goals I hope to accomplish.  Amazingly enough, I've accomplished quite a few from my 2011 list - it was a very productive year - but some of those things I was unable to accomplish...and so, I continue to add them to my list!

*Finish Pre-requisites for the Nursing Program.
*Apply to Nursing Programs for 2013.
*Finish Books!  {I've been writing two - I would LOVE to get to the revision stage and then send out inquiry letters...but I lack the time, and when I have the time, my husband has the computer!}
*Lose the excess weight!  I managed to pick up a few pounds rather than drop them....(!)  Ergh!
*FINALLY start training for a half marathon.  [I want to compete but I also think it'll help with losing those pounds I want off!]
*Get in our own home. {Nothing against my in-laws...I'm just missing my own space.}
*Find Stann a full-time, permanent job.
*Get kids all their final eval's - hopefully see about the meds they need for ADD/ADHD.
*Make it through Matt's tonsillectomy & adenoidectomy.
*Go to Disneyland with the boys.
*Think happy, positive thoughts and cross my fingers for a clean mammogram and ultrasound in May!

Not too heavy of goals...Not even too deep!  In my defense though, I'm drugged beyond all belief - I've been fighting a double ear infection and a sinus infection.  I'm currently home from church watching Mayhem - as he's spiked to 103.6 temp. (No, I'm not alarmed...this kid gets fevers easily and with every cold.)  His glands are swollen and he has a sore throat...no pockets or streaks...just swollen.  Poor baby.  So he's sitting in his Transformer under's - covered in a blankie, munchin' on some snacks and watching his third episode of Ninjago.  {Oh! The life!}

It's been a heck of a year.  I'm glad to see it go. I hope for so much more in 2012.  :)  And I'm anxiously awaiting some of my fave author's new releases. lol.  {I live such a sheltered life!}
