“As you create a home, don't get distracted with a lot of things that have no meaning for you or your family. Don't dwell on your failures, but think of your successes. Have joy in your home. Have joy in your children. Have joy in your husband. Be grateful for the journey.” ~ Marjorie Pay Hinckley

Letters to my Sons...

Dear Sons,

Oh how I love you!  Whenever I see your faces, my heart is gripped with a surge of love - springing forth and multiplying to even greater amounts than before....and I learn a little more each day what it is to truly love someone!

I love you both for a multitude of reasons.  Your laughs.  Your smiles.  Your unique personalities!  But now, let me reiterate the ongoing discussion we've been having this morning.

I love you.  It's my job to teach you.  And I would be very remiss and a poor mother indeed, if I did not teach you responsibility and help you improve yourself through carefully selected character building experiences (aka...chores).

So let me once reiterate...how much I love you and remind you once again...

I am your mother - not your maid!

The legos you dump out on the floor....while cute when you do with an expression of impish delight...YOU will need to pick up.  Not me.  I will gladly help and guide you through the process...but if I hear one more time that "that's your job"  I may go on strike!

I love you both so very much....and I look forward to the day...that I laugh at this post...because you've learned the responsibilities your father and I are trying to teach you. :)

I am and will ever be grateful to be,
  Your loving Mother
