Bring on Summah!
Finals are complete-o! [Cue applause]
What a wild ride these past few weeks have been:
*Studying like crazy for finals...
*Writing and re-writing essay after essay after essay after essay...
*Registering for Summer and Fall classes...
*Getting Matt's Kindergarten papers all filled out and finished...
*Scheduling Matt's appointments for the Neurologist this summer...
*Adjusting my work schedule {saying goodbye to a client; she's put her home on the market}
*Battling some depression {weather related...so hard to move when you're stuck with winterlike weather for 11 months out of the year!}
*Taking the finals with....
*SICK KIDS.
Speaking of sick kids....we just returned from the Emergency Room - Josh has been pretty sick the past 2 days (sick 3 total), but the past two days, he's thrown up and we've struggled to keep his temperature under control even with the help of Advil & Tylenol together....His temperature spiked to 104.9 degrees, WITH medication!!! {scary stuff!} He was really struggling to breathe...I called the Ped's office this afternoon and was told to take him into the ER. So....we did.
Fast forward 5 hours later....we have a verdict of Herpegina (I know...it sounds disgusting, right?! Like my little boy has an STD?! But I promise...it's NOT!) AND viral croup. The Herpegina is variation of hand/foot/mouth disease - minus the manifestations of sores on the hands and feet...its only manifested inside his mouth and down his throat. The throwing up, is from his coughing, (barking more like it), and high temp's all part of the lovely viral package(s). Ugh. A dose of steroids, some magic mouthwash for said sores he's developed in his mouth from this and we were on our way.
THANKFULLY, Heavenly Father heard my prayers and the really bad stuff held off until after my finals. :) I was up all night the night before...but it really wasn't as bad as last night. :)
And....drumroll....I have a 4.0 GPA to show for this term (philosophy, writing 121, math). :) {HOORAY!}
My summer schedule's all settled...only 1 class...my fall schedule's settled....3 classes and 12 credits...I'm gradually inching my way closer and closer to the prerequisites I need for the nursing program. :)
It's kinda nice knowing I have a week to myself before I begin things all over again!
