“As you create a home, don't get distracted with a lot of things that have no meaning for you or your family. Don't dwell on your failures, but think of your successes. Have joy in your home. Have joy in your children. Have joy in your husband. Be grateful for the journey.” ~ Marjorie Pay Hinckley

Bunk Beds - part I

One of the BEST things of having Hunky Hubby around, is that he's talented.

Super-duper talented.

He said to me two days ago - "Hey, will you help me design some bunk beds for the boys?"  I said, "Absolutely!"

I got to looking around....and found this picture....

And with just a few minor tweaks....he'll build these for the boys. (Again...NO...this isn't the boys' room - nor the boys' bed...but I'll take pics once the bed's made...!)

I am soooo glad I have a husband who's handy!  So, he looked a the picture and said "Yeah, I can make those."  {insert girlish squeal of delight!}  I mean, how many women can say their husbands are so handy?! And able to do so much?!  I'm so stinkin' lucky!!! :D

I only face two dilemma's now.

1) Do we make the bottom bunk a double?

2) What color to paint it?  Or should we stain it?

Oh! The possibilities!!! :D

I say do a double.. Keayen loves his big bed :) and paint it black.. because we have a stained one and you can see every little mark.. and we also have a painted white one... which I don't have to tell you how bad that get's dirty looking! Anyway I can't say my hubby is very good at that kind of stuff... He tries, but never learned how! :) That is totally awesome!
