“As you create a home, don't get distracted with a lot of things that have no meaning for you or your family. Don't dwell on your failures, but think of your successes. Have joy in your home. Have joy in your children. Have joy in your husband. Be grateful for the journey.” ~ Marjorie Pay Hinckley

Asthma flare-ups, Ear Infections, The Flu....

I'm really beginning to dislike the fall.

Not because of the changing leaves, but because of the adjustment that has to happen over the next month or so...

It seems like it takes about a month and a half for my little boys' bodies (mine too for that matter) to adjust to the now cold, damp air....and they become a breeding ground for germs. (ugh..)

I only mention that because I'm at home, instead of at church (where I'd like to be...), sitting on the couch, with a sick child on my lap.  Joshua has an ear infection (due to his running around outside without a hat or jacket on - laughing - while I run around after him trying to put said jacket and hat on him...) and so Mama has to stay home.

Other down side:  It triggered his asthma.  Not fun!

And the rest of us are fighting off different forms of an icky flu that got passed to us...Ugh!  (The only downside of Pre-school AND also having your MIL and Hunky Hubby in the Primary!)

Bright side:  Because I stayed home, I watched the General Relief Society Broadcast - FINALLY.  All the way through!  With only half of the interruptions I would've had - because Matt was at church with Stann. ;)

{LOVED what our leaders had to say....President Monson's talk was soooo right on...as always!}

But I really, really, really would like to NOT deal with anymore sickness.  At least for the rest of the year...or until the Flu Shots come into our doctors clinic next week.

Another tid-bit that's note-worthy.....Matthew turns 5 next week. :D  All the planning and preparation will take fruition on Saturday, at his birthday party...which we've kept small - just cousins, 2 friends from church and the next-door neighbor kid.

Will have pictures to post of that, soon enough. :)  I'm headed back to the couch...to lay on it...and make sure it doesn't go anywhere during our naptime....
