We had a very fun Christmas morning! It all began around 4AM....when coyotes started howling at the goats....which triggered our dogs to start howling back....which woke up the boys! So much for sleeping in! We were trying to enjoy it while we could!
The boys enjoyed their toys...they were fixated on each toy as they opened it, and after awhile it just got sooo overwhelming we just unwrapped them and left them in their bags for later....so it'll be Christmas all over again, once they tire of their toys!
Big hits this year....Matt got a tool set (just like Daddy and Papa Hammies!) And Josh got a telephone that you pull behind you on a string...(I had one like it as a kid...it was a hit then too!) Daddy got a very, very long ladder and I got a new Comforter set for our bedroom. We kept things super simple this year....we've been known to splurge a little and buy a lot for others and this year we put the word out that we were going the "other" direction - and did White Elephant exchanges at my folks' house (Hammons) and kept the gift exchange to a $15 max for Stann's side (McNamee). It worked out great for us!
This year we were able to focus more on the REASON we celebrate - and it was fun teaching our boys about Jesus' birth! Although it was fun watching them "get" present opening too! We hope you all had a GREAT Christmas this year...! We love you and hope you have a Happy New Year too!

hey wait a minute, where are all the LOUD & OBNOXIOUS toys???? i think i do recall getting a few from this crew. i think i am going to have to send some your way. work toys...nice but oh sooo quiet. not fair :)
NOT so quiet at all! :) Don't you worry - our family has paid us back in spades! All with LOUD toys with NO VOLUME CONTROL! :)
