“As you create a home, don't get distracted with a lot of things that have no meaning for you or your family. Don't dwell on your failures, but think of your successes. Have joy in your home. Have joy in your children. Have joy in your husband. Be grateful for the journey.” ~ Marjorie Pay Hinckley

Post #280

Post #280 finds me...

*Scatterbrained.  Obviously.  I have 1 husband, 2 kids, I'm taking 12 credits and I work part-time while still taking care of household chores.  There's not much left up here left to process stuff!
*Studying (kind of) for finals next week.  (yay.)
*Wandering all over the internet....looking for Christmas ideas.  For kids. Husbands.  Everybody.
*I'm alternately blog-stalking my fave authors{Josephine Angelini & Janette Rallison}...in anticipation of their contests - the prize is an ARC of Dreamless (for JA) it's coming out in May...but I suddenly find I just can't wait that long - OR - any of JR's books!  :D  (Oh my! is right!)
*Sitting in a stupor on the couch....my sweet son Matt has ripped apart my visual board for my presentation in Spanish class.  Not quite sure I'm ready to head back into town to pick up another set of supplies...
*Trying to mentally block logarithms, exponential functions and the like from my head.  {Get out I say, Get out!}
*Staring in contemplation at the basket of laundry that needs to be folded.  Willing it to fold itself.  If I stare hard enough...will it comply?!
*Wishing said laundry was under a jurisdiction of a laundry "fairy".  You have no idea (or maybe you do) how badly I wish for a small little fairy type person to *poof!* into the living room and magically make said clothes fold themselves and march into their designated drawers....
*I'm also trying to figure out what to write my last essay on for my writing class.  {If it were fiction...I think I'd be capturing that laundry fairy in depth right now...but alas! It's not.}  What kind of controversy can I cover - that I have some kind of authority on?  The merits of leaving the toilet seat up for everyone (for a male audience obviously) - OR - the benefits of happy pills being issued to all from a pez dispenser?!
*Wondering WHY relatives give gifts to our family - though we've asked them not to.  I realize they love our kids - who doesn't?! (ha, ha)  or they don't want our kids to feel left out - but that means I have to reciprocate! >:/   I have 2 kids vs. everyone else's 3, 4 & 5!  Ugh!
*Side thought:  Is a stick of gum a good present?  There are times I would give anything for one - would others feel the same?

See?  Scatterbrained.  Rambling.  Obviously....I need to get out more.  Or concentrate on homework a little better.  Or get me some happy pills.
